SPAR*K has developed a fair stand sculpture for the dmy 2012 in a collaborative design process. The dmy ‘STAND DER DINGE’ (‘State of things’) is a spatial installation consisting of over 60 old window frames found in the district Neukölln. It is both wall, partition element, sculptural furniture and fair stand.
The goal of the process was the development of a clearly visible and distinct fair stand which presents the unique and completely different products of the nine designers in one stand concept. STAND DER DINGE is a cooperative project of the Neukölln design producers ‘Neuköllner Macher’ and SPAR*K. The spatial installation has been developed together with the ‘Neuköllner Macher’ und characterises the surprising quality that can be found behind Neukölln window frames.
