For the entrance area of a private art collector SPAR*K is designing a roof sculpture which is poth protecting the entrance from bad weather as well as a being a sculpture of its own. The glass surfaces of the entrance are is decorated with a glass mosaique which shall be staged through this the sculpture.
The rip structure is derived from a leave-like structure and rises from a stem to a delicate and light-weight roof. Similar to the trees and bushes in the surrounding garden is the daylight filtered by the ripstructure and projected onto the entrance landing. Each lamella is laser-cut out of a large steel sheet, then welded and powder-coated.
The stem is formed out of 10 steel lamella and holds up a translucent, UV-resistant acrylic roof. The outer lamellas are slighty slightly exaggerated to guide rain water to the integrated drainpipe. At night, the sculpture is gently illuminated by an LED-Light built into the landing floor.
